Ist ein Riesengelände. Man kann sich frei bewegen. Es war aber kein Fahrzeug begehbar. Schade. Der Besuch kostet aber auch nichts. Sehenswert ist es allemal.

Great small town museum celebrating the history of California railroads. It was cold and raining on the day I arrived, so the crowds were nonexistent and a lot of things were closed up, but I had a great conversation with a volunteer named Danny and got to see the restoration work he was doing on an old streetcar. Took a ride on one of the old working streetcars and had a great conversation with the driver. The lady in the gift shop was a sweetheart as well. I’ll be sure to visit again on a warm, sunny day.

We had an AMAZING time riding The Polar Express train on Christmas Eve! ✨ The cast made it a magical experience. My 16 year old loved it. It was worth the trip from Virginia, especially on my first Christmas without my Dad. Riley was absolutely wonderful! Thank you, Southern California Railway staff! I highly recommend going.

Hosted a birthday party here. We rented the party caboose. It was a great event space and made for a no fuss, easy party. After the party, we went for a train ride and walked some of the museums. The tour guides and train conductors are all very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the trains at the museum. Everyone who attended the party thought it was neat place and experience. The train museum is a gem in Riverside and I'm glad that it exists.

This place is amazing. Theres so much history to appreciate. We went during the Thomas and Friends event and we were there for about 6 hours and I feel like we only saw half the things to see and check out. We talked to an older gentleman named Paul who has been with the foundation since the 1950s and was member number 20. Full of amazing knowledge and polite. I would highly recommend if you love history, trains and old machinery.

Best Train museum ever..... Freindly and knowledgeable staff. We did the caboose ride and cab ride and was a experience of a lifetime..
Restrooms were everywhere and they had a great gift shop with ice cream and refreshments.
Free parking and one ticket to ride the trains all day .....
Beautiful selection of trains from the past. Worth the drive and the kids loved every minute.

My family and I came for the polar express experience, and I couldn't be any happier with the experience. The interaction of the show will forever be a memory for my kid. I would definitely recommend experiencing the Polar Express during the holidays!

Cool place to stop by and see. You can walk around on your own or take a short tour. They have cool things you can do certain times if the year that look fun also. Being from Hawaii it was cool to see the old sugar cane train from Oahu there.
