I walked in today just after 5pm & was greeted kindly @ the door! I asked for phone chargers & was shown where to find them. I had a few questions which to buy? So I found Hector. Hector was very helpful & showed me what to buy!! In n Out in 15min!!

I bought a TV that was an open box item. It was the only one available open box and there weren't any in the other price tiers. When I got to the store I got an email saying the item wasn't available but the TV was conveniently available now in the higher price tier. They claimed they looked all over for mine but didn't find the TV. They wouldn't price match the so called other one that randomly showed up as soon as I ordered it. They just didn't want to sell it open box for the sale price. Or someone wanted it in store and they changed it. They could not have looked all over for the TV because I showed up to the store right after I ordered it. They didn't have time. The manager didn't want to offer me any solutions so I know they did it on purpose. A tv that costs hundreds he claimed they did it over 14 dollar difference and his story didn't seem believable and it seemed like he was trying to cover up something. They were rude and seemed more interested in trying to prove their unbelievable story than offer solutions. I would have just paid the 14 dollar difference but that didn't even come up, if they had offered the difference or just gave me the one that was available that somehow showed up within 30 minutes I would have taken it. Don't shop here, worst best buy management of any store I have encountered.

EDIT: Thanks, Tommy for responding. As one who’s worked in customer service for decades it would’ve been better and far less effort on your part to say “oh, I see. You read monitor and thought tv monitor not computer monitor.” And we could’ve laughed at it together.

Oh well. Missed opportunities. I’ll still shop at Amazon and Costco instead. They don’t have those kinds of misunderstandings.

Original review: Just stopped by to recycle my Best Buy branded insignia 33” tv and the door bouncers told me it’s $30. I told them that’s not what the website said, that it was bigger tvs for the $30. They says “all tvs.” I wasted my time in Christmas Eve traffic. I’d considered buying a new one at BB to replace it since I was there anyway but I guess not.

I did try calling the store before I came to avoid any issues but the automated phone system just directed me back to the website for a list of what could be recycled and the instructions to do so.

Wow, this store has some of the worst customer service I have ever had to endure. I took my headphones in, which had a Geek Squad warranty on them. When I took them to customer service he looked up the service and product info and confirmed that it was under warranty. I said awesome, can I get those replaced? And he said it would be no problem and that he just needed to fill out the issue I was having. I told him the issue and when I was done explaining what was going on, he said awesome here is your gift card. I told him that I don’t want a gift card, because I got them on a crazy deal and would only get half of what it was actually worth. He said, sorry it’s already done. I can get a manager to see if there is anything to be done, but I don’t think there is. When the manager finally got there, after waiting for over 7 minutes, he said, without ever making eye contact, sorry bud, nothing we can do. So I explained to him that it was an issue I would have lived with instead of getting half my money back. I never agreed to the gift card, he just did it without asking. The Geek Squad manager, Bailey, who is obviously a sad sack of a 40 year old beta male that still works a 20 dollar an hour retail job, said yeah sorry man, nothing I can do. First of all, working in retail myself from the age of 16 until 22, I KNOW there is ALWAYS something you can do. Instead he just continued to brush my issue off and said yeah sucks to suck basically. I now know why people will travel up to the American Fork location to not deal with these goobers. Do yourself a favor and do the same.

The service was terrible. There was only one cashier at the customer service desk while all the other cashiers were closed. Meanwhile, the rest of the staff were simply chatting around the store, and the door attendant was just standing at the entrance, watching people pass by. It's better to shop elsewhere.

Normally, I can’t stand Best Buy. They are the reason we lost so many cool car audio, and home theater shops over the years. I even worked for Best Buy years ago, which made me dislike them even more. But today I had a good experience in the Orem store. I had a TV return that was purchased through Samsung, but fulfilled through Best Buy. When I attempted to make the return I didn’t get my refund the way you typically would, but instead I got a small slip of paper that said $0 refund and the words “partner return” with no real explanation or details. The young man helping me at the customer service return area was named Lochlan. He reassured me that it would be taken care of and if there were any problems to come and find him and he will make sure that they know that I returned it and that I will get my refund. 5 hours later I finally got an email confirming the return. I want to give him a 5 star review for great customer service and for letting me know that I wouldn’t be left hanging without a refund. Good job Lochlan! I will be sure to purchase from your store again.

The lady in the shipping area is so mean she got mad because I ring the door bell too many times but no one was coming over I waited for 5min so I ring the door bell again. It was raining and snowing. They could put a sign say ring the doorbell ones we will be there soon. At my other job we have a sign that's saying to knock or ring once I will be there. Because of her I decide not take the box and took it back to them. She was so mean put her finger up and said to me never do that again. She don't need to be working there if she so mean to people.
