Traveling in the area 12-7-24 had this placed saved on my Google maps. I love coming to coffee cafes across the US with a rustic vibe. Staff was awesome, environment was peaceful. I felt safe coming to the neighborhood and this location as a solo female. Food was yummy. Ordered a hash breakfast, black coffee and chocolate chip cookie for later day treat. I would give 5 stars but the ONLY issue I had was the music was choppy (cutting in/out) as if it was on someone’s phone as if they were playing it Bluetooth via the speakers. That was very distracting amongst myself and others in the cafe.

You come in and order your food before finding a seat. The service was great, very friendly with good recommendations. We sat at the tall chairs. Food was done in a reasonable amount of time. The cappuccino was very cute and good. Self serve water was good. Food arrived, the scrambled eggs were magnificent. The roasted spuds with truffle butter were also to die for. The sausage gravy had a great sweet tang to it. But unfortunately, the bacon and the gravy are cold when served and the toast was a little too crunchy. Overall a great experience, come try it out but find more comfortable seats!

So, my coworker knows I like a good dirty chai and insisted I try this one. And ohhh, they did not lie—this chai was everything! Spices and coffee blended perfectly, with just the right touch of caramel sweetness. A win!

Now, I’m a sucker for avocado toast, and babe is all about the grilled cheese. My toast was solid—not life-changing but definitely enjoyable. The grilled cheese, though… well, let’s just say it was more of a “grilled bread” situation. There was barely any cheese, so she ended up eating it slice by slice. Her verdict: “If I ordered toast, this would be perfect.” 😂 But despite the cheese situation, the flavors were on point.

As for the vibe/look— the place is SO cute and rustic. The female barista was super sweet, but the guy behind the counter? Eh, not so much. But honestly, I’d still go back for that coffee!

The food was so good that I only remembered to snap a picture after we had demolished it 😂 A dog-friendly front porch and back patio are available as well as some delicious and unique breakfast entrees and pastries. I especially enjoyed the sausage gravy we had as well as the Francier muffin. The cold brew was strong and smooth. Must try!

I do adore The Mud House. Fantastic coffee, I love their coffee beans.
My usual drink the cortado is always perfect. Food is outstanding too.
Lovely people. I took my old beagle here
on her last day and the two batista that were on that day were so very sweet to her. She and I both needed it.
Barista make sure you have everything you need and I felt very welcome. Accommodating too. Thank you Mud House.

I enjoyed the vibe and the great service very much. I'm very picky about coffee and about biscuits and gravy. But this was a great place to sit with a friend and visit for a couple hours, and I enjoyed exploring the neighborhood afterwards.
