This place is a fantastic destination for kids of all ages, offering a wide variety of activities to keep little ones engaged and entertained for the entire day. From pretend play in the farmers market shopping counters to exploring the US mail truck and fire truck, the interactive exhibits provide endless opportunities for imaginative play.

One of our favorite sections was the art and craft area, which offers abundant materials to foster creativity and create memorable experiences for young minds. The construction and building zones are equally impressive, combining fun and learning as kids experiment and construct. The camping area, complete with a cave and engaging wildlife and nature displays, was another highlight of our visits.

We’ve been here a couple of times and always spend a full day exploring. The museum’s direct connection via the monorail is a huge plus, especially on rainy days, and the cafeteria above the museum level offers plenty of food options for a convenient break. However, parking can be tricky and expensive, so I highly recommend taking the monorail or a bus.

Overall, Seattle Children’s Museum is a must-visit for families looking for a day full of fun, creativity, and learning!

Cute little place you can come with children! We got in with a really good price because my sister is a teacher and she has insurances for kids; otherwise it could be a little pricey without any discounts.

They have multiple areas with different themes. The toys provided are based on each theme. It could be super fun for kids, and you can definitely spend a whole day here if you are willing to. You can get a stamp on your hand or keep your receipt for reentry. You can find food court with multiple food choices in the same building upstairs (you’ll have to leave the museum to get there).

If you see your child putting certain toys in the mouth, you are supposed to put the toys in a designated area. They are supposed to do a good job sanitizing the toys regularly to make sure they are always clean for all children.

Some people bring their dogs in, so beware if you or your children have any allergies.

Fantastic place! Get the annual membership to save some money! Members get access to all of the local children's museums around the Puget Sound area, anytime or any day. Definitely worth the price! If you're on any sort of public assistance, the price is only $35 for the entire year. The one in Everett is a bit better because it's twice as big or more, but still, the one in Seattle is a great time for the kids and grown-ups alike. I can't say enough about this spot! Keep a close eye on the little ones at the museum, they have a tendency to run off between exhibits. I have seen the employees tending to many lost and very upset children. I honestly don't know what some of these parents are thinking. Watch your darned kids for crying out loud!! The only reason is not more of an issue is because there is only the one entrance and exit, and it is watched closely by staff. Truly a great spot to let the kids go a bit wild and play till they drop!! Worth every penny!!

I went with my family. The two youngest kids had a blast but quickly got bored as there wasn’t too much to do as far as enjoyment for a 5 and 10 year old. They quickly found where they got the most entertainment and stayed there for about thirty minutes, shortly after taking a lap around the whole museum. We stayed for a hour and a half. It was a fun time for the young ones once they found what to do and they learned some new things about dinosaurs so well! I recommend for younger children, as there were tons of 3 year old toddlers running about!

Great spaces and ideas for learning/play, but chaotic in organization. During our visit there were over 100 kids (plus parents), easily overwhelming the 4-5 staff members.

But like I said, some great spaces and ideas for kids. They have simulated real world spaces made to kids' levels such as an optometrist office, a grocery store, construction site, veterinary clinic, theatre, and post office. There are also physics learning spaces and lots of small nature learning moments.

Oh my goodness what a fantastic children’s museum this is!!! It’s definitely on the smaller side, but they have a lot of fun activities and pretend play packed into their little museum.

I took my young boys here in the fall and they had an absolute blast!! I love all the attention to detail put into this place (play optometrist studio with an eye exam machine, clinic with baby scales, stage with costumes, music and sound effects) It’s just incredibly well done!!!

My only disappointment would be the parking situation. There is no free or validated parking for the museum. Parking is $40 for the day, that is insanity!!!! We visited from Canada so $40 USD worked out closer to $60 CAD. You can’t expect people to pay an absolute fortune for parking and then passes to the museum as well

Aside from that, fantastic fantastic museum!!! Highly recommend bringing your littles!!!

We visited children's museums in many states, so we were excited to see the one in Seattle! It was busy, but the kids had a blast. They were running from place to place to discover all the wonders! This museum is small, so it was a short visit. This is perfect for smaller kids. I'm still not sure why adults have to pay because they were nothing for us to do besides supervising the kids.

Supervision could be better- our two year old was hit in the face by a much older child (7-9) but that’s more to do with parents not being anywhere near their children. The price has gone up on all children’s museums so we’re glad they have reciprocity with ACM. One level and once inside it’s not as noisy as the Armory. If taking the monorail follow the exit to the right past the sign for the armory- or have fun in the park but don’t follow Waze directions walking 🙂
