I'm new to the area and stumbled into @dubacademy. I was greeted by @djgriptexas (Grippy) and @Scroogemcbuckz Instantly i felt welcomed and excited about the setup they have going on there. Great energy out the gate. I left with more technical knowledge and have to come back to take some classes and help my artist friend record some songs. Places like this are why Austin is so dope. I recommend you pop in and see for your self!

The instruction here is top tier! I've been working with Brett and Trace closely for over a year. If you're looking for either dj lessons or music production guidance at any level I couldn't recommend them more.

I would say pretty nice vibes for learning how to use music software the studios that they have can also fulfill bands if you want to record but also there's a nice room for learning with creative desks and as far as I know it's the one school that I'm seeing here in Austin I've been in there a few times now never took a course would always thinking about teaching there and who knows maybe someday we'll happen highly recommend it

My son attended a week of summer camp at Dub Academy and absolutely love it. The staff were fantastic, and my son learned a ton while he was there. We bought him a small turntable for home, and now he often spends an hour or two mixing in his room -- instead of playing video games! Thanks so much to Dub Academy!

Very impressed with this place. Definitely unique & a place for music lovers!!! My brother in law's eyes lit up right when we got inside.

These guys love what they're doing & love helping others find their way into it too. From music theory to mixing & scratching, you can learn all kinds of stuff here. They even have people here that know about music production & composition.

I'm totally not the DJ'ing type, but even I had some fun getting my hands on the turntable. 🙂

Great equipment & has that "underground music" vibe.

Sidenote: I would give it a 5 star but I haven't had experience with a full lesson yet, so I can't say I have enough experience with the place to "love it." That last star will have to wait until next time!!

How lucky are we to have a DJ training facility in Austin Texas. The academy is wonderful
Clean facility, professional teachers and very helpful with advice when you need direction on what kind of classes you may want try.

If you have an itch you need to scratch...and that itch is to hone your DJ skillset, then you can "baby scratch" your way into ATX nightlife stardom here!

Or of your like me and the only way you drop sick beats is throwing records on ground, this is still an awesome place to get your turntable learning on!

I came in to audit an intro class here one evening and it was the most fun I ever had learning how to do something waaay out of my knowledge and comfort arenas.

The equipment here is state the art and each station has dual turntables and a mac so you can track your beats and your progress. The instructors are not only pros in the business, but their passion is contagious!

They are a non-profit and work with a lot of youth programs, which I think is awesome for community engagement and being another fantastic Eastside staple only adds to the character of this place!

By the end of the class, I was not only simon-says baby scratching on both turntables, but felt like I could walk out and confidently nickname myself DJ Madame Magic Touch!
